History

Moses Lake is known for it's long sporting history and traditions in baseball, wrestling and football. The city had an existing ice rink for skating, but was too small for ice hockey.

The Moses Lake ice rink was constructed in 2007. The first hockey season started immediately for the 2007 - 2008 season.

Thanks to lots of volunteer efforts such as George Georgeson, a former NCAA ice hockey goalie for the Univ. of South Dakota, who dedicated tremendous time and effort by coaching nearly every age group until other coaches could be trained and certified. Lyle Stoltman did an equally heroic job with logistics, coaching, and all of those behind-the-scenes jobs involved in getting and keeping youth ice hockey going. Lots of others dedicated their efforts as well.

Because the rink is centrally located in Washington state, other teams use the rink as well. Central Washington University, Spokane, Wenatchee occasionally use the rink for their use.

The Moses Lake Adult Hockey League plays several nights per week here as well.
